According to an article in Insurance Times, 1 in 5 lie on their home insurance applications and more than half justify their lie because they feel cover is too expensive.

At J Bennett, we advise customers to always report any losses however minor as soon as possible. Most insurance policies include the condition that all losses must be reported without delay and failure to do so may result in your insurer repudiating your claim at a later date.
If in doubt, always seek advice from an expert before hand.
